Everything seems to be going well so far. I’ve run through 7 reels for tonight which puts me a little over halfway. I had some flicker problems resulting from mismatching frame rates between the 18fps from the projector and the 24, 30 or 60 fps all my other equipment shoots at. To resolve the issue, I wrapped some masking tape around the drive pulley in the projector to increase it’s diameter, running the projector closer to 30fps, and I’ll slow the resulting footage down in post-prod.
I hope.
For now, have a look at my capture rig. I now have 1 tape of footage to capture into iMovie and edit it down to something esthetically pleasing. Keep you posted.
